The experiences of facilitating foreign direct investment in a developing country: A comparative analysis of two local authorities

The experiences of local authorities (LAs) with facilitating foreign direct investment (FDI) in developing countries are reported isolation. Resultantly, there is no consolidated and comparative analysis the above. While impact neo-liberalism capitalism on agencies (IFAs) such as LAs recognised literature (Kuswanto, Hoen, & Holzhacker, 2017; Minh, 2019), an empirical gap exists demonstrating this impact. Using a multiple case study research design, relies qualitative method to empirically compare contrast two Namibian LAs, Windhoek Walvis Bay, Ramatex Textiles Namibia (RTN) Press Tools (NPT) FDIs, respectively. It similarly draws insights from these LA FDI. Unstructured interviews were conducted 13 purposely-selected key respondents data interpreted, analysed, presented themes. This found that while developmental experience RTN was largely negative, Bay NPT neutral.
